10 Questions:

1. What single trait do you attribute your success?

The single trait that attributes to my success is my personality. When you genuinely are happy, it show and people are attracted to that. People want to work with me because I make them feel comfortable. I bring a positive vibe when I meet people in front and in back of the camera. A smile can go a long way.

2. What was the biggest obstacle you experienced?

My mom passed away on February 27, 2009 of breast cancer. She was everything to me…she was my world. It’s hard when you lose a loved one, but it’s even harder when you lose a parent, especially a mother. I was “mama’s boy” and we did so many things together. When she called me “anak,” I felt secure and I knew all me problems I had back then would dissolve because my mom was always there for me. I miss her so much but now I know that I have my own personal guardian angel watching over me.

3. Aside from your parents, who is your role model or mentor?

I consider my sister my mentor. She has her own business in the medical field. My sister is very smart and very professional. She values family so much. She’s 8 months pregnant and giving birth to her first baby next month. I’m so excited because this is my first nephew. He’s going to be so spoiled by the whole family.

4. How do you manage stress?

I manage stress by getting away and traveling. Sometimes I need time to blow off some steam and be in another city or town so when I come back, I’m revived and energized ready to work again.

5. What do you like best about your job?

The best thing I absolutely love about my job is meeting all the celebrities that come on “The Talk.” Everyday is a different day, a different talent. I’ve met Kris Jenner, Perez Hilton, Kimora Lee Simmons, Paris Hilton, Jacqueline Smith, Soleil Moon Frye and the list goes on and on. I’ve produced people that I’ve seen on TV and movies and it’s awesome. Sometimes I sit in my office and say, “Is this really my life?” I’m very blessed.

6. Do you believe that everyone is a winner? Why or why not?

Everyone is a winner but you have to play the “game of life” weather you win or lose. A lot of people tell me, “You’re so lucky. You got it made!” I didn’t get this far by staying at home and doing nothing in my life. My dream was to become a producer and I had to start from the bottom being a production assistant. Years passed and the hunger of getting what I want was still inside me. I didn’t stop. I kept moving till I got where I wanted to be and I’m still playing the “game of life.” Everyone has their own “game” but it’s up to you if you want to win or lose.

7. What is your secret to success?

For me, the secret to success is that I love what I do. I genuinely enjoy getting up early in the morning and doing a live show everyday. I love everything about the entertainment industry. I’ve wanted it ever since I was a little kid. I used to watch “Brady Bunch” and see the credits at the end of the show. It was the names of people who worked on the show. I wanted my name on TV too and it’s awesome to see my name scroll at the end of “The Talk.” It’s an accomplished feeling.

8. Where would you rather be right now?

My favorite place in the world is New York. I moved and lived there for “The Tyra Banks Show.” It was amazing! I love the feeling of walking around and getting lost in that city. I remember the first time I came to that city. I was so scared. I didn’t know what to expect but fell in love with the people and the culture. There’s no place in the world like New York.

9. What are your hobbies?

I love to spend time with my family and eat Filipino Food.
