JAZZ at JOSEPHINE’S
Jazz at Josephine’s started Wednesday night, January 7, to kick off their new season with the new hot venue for good, delectable Filipino cuisine, Josephine’s Bistro.
Well sought after musicians, of course, were main entertainment, composed by none other than, Jazz Pianist Tateng Katindig on keys, Jazzmopolitan’s Gentleman of Jazz Ner de Leon on Sax, Dynamic drummer David Anderson on drums and Bassist, Record Producer and creator of Bass Tutorial Videos Andrew Ford on bass.
This group plays every other Wednesday of the month. Many local and international artists who jam along to make the night’s event livelier, flock the joint along with many patrons who crave the succulent tasting food.
Last night’s roster of incredible singers from here and around the world were: actor/singer Richard Merk, who is also dubbed as Philippines’ Jazz Prince who happened to be visiting the country and was in the area; Jet Montelibano, formerly of famous Filipino group, Music and Magic; local artists Derek Santos, Ciel Perlas, Charmie Morales and Mignonet Raceles.
To local artists here, it was a surprise to have witnessed the stellar performance of Mr. Merk and the band with their version of Al Jarreau’s Spain!
To those of you who have not been to Josephine’s, do come by. Not only will you be treated with good music, you’ll never know who stops by and join you! Filipino or not, for sure, you will enjoy the delicious food they serve! – Joni Villamil – FilAmNation
