The Gutierrez’s did not file any charges against the man who tried to enter their home in White Plains, Quezon City on Friday.
According to Dennis Datus’ report aired on DZMM, the man claimed to be the son of family patriarch, actor Eddie. According to White Plains Barangay Kagawad Norman Castro, the man is a native of Bataan.
The family matriarch, talent manager Annabelle Rama, let Cunato be freed after a talk at the barangay hall.
On the same day, the family’s eldest, actress Ruffa Gutierrez, updated fans about the incident though successive tweets, relating how the man has been trying to enter their village for the past three days prior to being held.
The man was caught on closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera climbing a neighbor’s gate and throwing three black bags containing his personal belongings including several identification cards over the 12-foot gate of the Gutierrez’s home.
Ruffa expressed alarm over the incident she called “strange.”
She continued, “Imagine getting woken up from a deep sleep by a frantic @annabellerama2 telling me that a stalker has been trying to enter our village!”
“Nakakatakot!! Imagine if there was a bomb inside!! After being glued to @CNN watching the terrorist attack in Paris you’ll never know!” she said, apparently referring to the Charlie Hebdo shooting in France last week, which saw the death of some 12 people.
“We should always take precaution wherever we go but also make sure that our homes are protected. Be safe everyone & always pray,” Ruffa added.
Eddie, a former matinee idol, has six children with Annabelle – Ruffa, Elvis, Rocky, Richard, Raymond and Ritchie Paul. He also has two children from previous relationships – actors Tonton (with actress Liza Lorena) and Ramon Christopher (with singer-actress Pilita Corrales).
